ACDHH aspires to be a national leader in communication access, support services and community empowerment throughout the state.
 
14 commissioners appointed by the Governor oversee the work of ACDHH:
  • Four Deaf representatives
  • Four Hard of Hearing representatives
  • One parent of a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child
  • One member from the Arizona Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
  • One licensed hearing aid dispenser
  • One clinical audiologist representative
  • One representative from the Arizona Department of Economic Security
  • One representative from the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind
2008 Commission Meeting Dates
Notice of Commission meetings will be posted 24 hours prior to meeting time on the ACDHH website and at 1400 W. Washington, Phoenix, AZ. in compliance with open meeting laws.

ACDHH 'Road Tour' will visit Lake Havasu City in May

The ACDHH 'Road Tour' will visit Lake Havasu City, May 6, 5 p.m. at the Mohave County Library. In addition to celebrating 30 years of service, ACDHH will be sharing its vision for the next 30 years and asking for community feedback.

PC offers CDI training

Phoenix College - Interpreter Preparation Program (IPP) is pleased to offer Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) training program beginning this Fall 2008. This is a 2-year program designed for Deaf Individuals who want to pursue and become a CDI.
